Cassingham Newsletter #38

Dear Families,

We are in awe of our cast and crew from this week’s performance of A Tale of Two Jacks! We hope you were able to enjoy the show led by our fourth and fifth grade students.

Cassingham's Field Day is on Thursday, May 28.  8:40-10:40 AM for Grades K-1-2; 12:30-2:30 PM for Grades 3-4-5.  Students need to bring the following items on Field Day: an extra change of clothes in case they get too wet at the water games, sunscreen, towel, sunglasses and/or hat, closed-toed shoes, and water bottle.  Sandals and swimsuits are not allowed.

Looking forward to a great week,

School Supply Kits

Summer will be here before we know it, and now is a great time to take one more thing off your back-to-school to-do list! 🎒☀️

If you haven’t ordered your child’s school supply kit yet, there’s still time. Our teacher-approved kits include the exact supplies requested for next school year and will be delivered directly to the school before classes begin.

Parents love the convenience because it means:

No searching multiple stores for supplies

No guessing if the items are correct

No last-minute shopping stress in August

One quick order and you’re done

As the school year wraps up and summer activities begin, it’s easy for back-to-school tasks to sneak up quickly, so we wanted to send a friendly reminder while ordering is still open.

Order your school kit today at:

Thank you for supporting the Cassingham Elementary school supply kit program!

Beginning Band Camp

Is your student going to be an incoming 5th or 6th grader this summer? Is your student interested in music? If so, please consider a new band camp opportunity this summer that is absolutely free! This camp is perfect for those who are either already signed up for a band next year and want enrichment, or who are unsure if the band is right for them and would like to try out playing an instrument. Although the camp is free, students need to come with an instrument. To access an instrument, check out Music and Arts where a two month rental is $10 or Rettig Music, where rentals are $12 for three months. Those who need assistance will have options for school based instrument rentals. Please reach out to Andy.Johnson@bexley.us with any

questions.
