Dear Families:

We have Ohio State Tests in Mathematics for Grades 3, 4, and 5 this week on Wednesday, April 22 and Thursday, April 23.  Our constant message to students is to give your best effort but don’t put too much pressure on yourself!  We are already proud of our Cubs, Mallards, and Moose for the outstanding effort they put into their learning every day!  To make testing days successful, we ask for the following support from families:

• Please be sure students come to school well rested.
• Please be sure students eat a nutritious breakfast.
• Please be sure students are on time.  If students come after testing begins, they will not be able to join their class for testing.
• Please be sure students do not have any appointments on testing days.

Health Update

As we move into allergy season, many students begin to experience symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes, and fatigue, which can impact their comfort and ability to focus in school. We kindly ask that parents be mindful of these seasonal allergies and, when appropriate, administer allergy medications at home before the school day begins.  This ensures your child starts the day feeling their best and minimizes disruptions to their learning. Thank you for keeping our students healthy and ready to learn. 

Kindergarten Registration

If you know of any families who have a child starting Kindergarten in the fall, please share this enrollment link with them!  Enrollment for the 26-27 school year is now open!  All registered kindergarten parents/guardians are invited to kindergarten orientation in their respective elementary school library on Thursday, April 23, from 6-7 p.m. This event is for adults only.  

Students will be invited to a Meet and Greet session with kindergarten teachers, which will take place the week before school starts in August. We look forward to meeting our Moose, Mallards, and Cubs who will one day be the Bexley Lions Class of 2039!

6th Grade School Supplies

Once again, BMS PTO is working with 1st Day School Supplies to bring you a full school supply kit — you order online, and it shows up at school right before the new school year!

You can order now through July 1st using the link below. Be sure to choose your child’s grade for the ‘26-‘27 school year and also note that a special kit is needed for those taking orchestra or band.

Cereal Box Dominoes

In May, we will be having our 2nd annual Cassingham Cereal Box Dominoes!  Please send in unopened boxes of cereal to use for this event, if you are able.  The cereal will be donated to the Montrose Little Free Pantry after our event.
